Here’s another commissioned Mega Munny. This handsome bastard took way WAY longer than I had initially planned, because initially I didn’t remember the Death Star having so much detail to it. The other option was for a Darth Vader Munny, but I don’t feel like I have the skills to sculpt the needed parts to turn it into Darth Vader, also I like keeping the Munnys I paint looking more like Munnys. It’s more of a challenge.

Don’t cramp the Krampus

It’s that time of year again. Time when naughty little boys and girls and taken from their beds in the middle of night by the Krampus and whipped with sticks and thrown in a sack. Or something like that, its been a while since I read the actual story. Either way, if being nice so Santa will show up doesn’t work, then the Krampus showing up for being naughty may just do the trick.

I went and put all of the bags I had pictures of in a nice little Imgur Gallery and made a post about it on Reddit, thinking it would be a nice little story, and I’d get some attention and some kudos. 5 days later it had gone to the front page on reddit (which is kinda a big deal) and has had over 3 million views. Now I’m not sure where that lands in the scope of things being a success on the internet, but I can say that way more views than I’ve seen on anything I’ve done to date. It’s also been the spark for something I hope to turn into a force for good.

During this summer, my son’s been going to an all day daycare-no school-activity-camp- type deal. they require the kids to bring sack lunches. I remembered seeing a blog of a dad who drew on his kids lunch bags, and liked the idea so much I stole it.
Here’s 8 weeks worth so far.

‘Most everyday at my day job I end up getting a good half hour to forty-five minutes to sketch away in my sketchbook. Some of these I’ve shared on this site, others in my twitter account, but the majority have stayed in my sketchbook. By the time I get home and take care of all things domestic, there just isn’t enough care left in me to bother starting up the scanner and working up a post for every lil’ doodle I do. Plus, I don’t necessarily want to fill this site up with a constant influx of daily sketches. enter Ink for lunch

Turns out the iPad is actually useful for things beyond Ininfity Blade II and facebook. It’s appears to be a really handy way to take a snapshot and put it into tumblr, where I’m not going to have to think about it again. I did Have to rearrange this stie a bit, as I wanted to add my tumblr, and twitter feeds to it.
