Watercolor color color chameleon

So I got an idea of coloring with watercolors, but I have no experience using water colors. I get to play with water colors now. Here’s the first attempt. Painted and inked in a watercolor paper moleskine sketch book.
On my second attempt, I tried some Yupo paper, I really liked the way the paper reacted, it didn’t bleed the same as the first try, but I think I liked how it worked better. Yupo is a synthetic paper, it’s almost like painting on film, so you can push the paint around a little more and it mixes a in different ways, then I noticed on regular water color paper.
For my third attempt, I repeated the second technique, and tried sprinkling salt on the paint before it was dry.

I seriously love this!
What a great idea! I too am a beginner with water colors. ^_^
